June 1st, 2020BIS Announcement | 学校公告

The year has been a very challenging year for the whole school.

BIS ADMISSIONS PROCESS

Parents should complete a BIS Student Application Form and prepare the required documents. Once documents have been received, a meeting with the Head of School is arranged. Any records, references, test results, or medical records should be brought along for this interview. Skills in English and Maths are assessed for all applicants from Year 1 and up. Students who meet admissions criteria are placed according to their age.

PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION (PTA)

BIS has a Parent Teacher Association (PTA), which is an organisation of parents and staff. Its role is to encourage closer links between home and school. All parents and staff are by definition members of PTA. It is hoped that a group of representative parents can meet regularly and work with the school on events throughout the year, raising money for the school and assisting with the integration of the school and the wider community. The school will always provide a venue for such meetings and a member of teaching staff and administration staff will always be in attendance.

Actually , I am a biological mother of three children in BIS, but humanly I considr all the kids who belong to our school as being my children too. That's why I am really interested in the future of BIS.

PTA President: Michelle Barnes-Roberts

Michelle has been a member of the BIS team since May 2019. Michelle is originally from North Wales in the UK, but as a child she grew up in Bahrain and Papua New Guinea.

PTA Secretary: Neha Khemka

I am Neha, I would like to nominate myself in PTA as a president or treasurer as I have been before in previous schools, so I know how to do and it's main role is to give rise to school.

BIS Events

We have various school events which are held annually and see the communities of our school working side by side. Students, parents, teachers and staff take the lead in organising the School events. All BIS events offer excellent opportunities for students to learn cooperation, teamwork and leadership skills while making memories that will last a lifetime.
