CIEO Deputy Director of International Education
Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, I have had the privilege to be called a teacher for over 30 years. I have taught grades 2- 12 including 2 years at TIS in Macau I have humbly served several school communities as an administrator for the past 10 years. I have been the Principal for schools running Pre-K to grade 9 and I have always enjoyed seeing growth and maturity happen in every classroom. I have a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta and a Master's Degree in School Administration from Newman College in Edmonton. Many of my best memories are from the 45 High School plays/musicals I directed, but more recently my highlights come from students wanting to read their first book to me or students wanting to share their academic breakthroughs with me.
I am married and have 5 children (4 men and I lady) with 3 of the men married. I am the proud grandfather of 3 amazing grand-daughters. My wife and I love travel to experience what this world has to offer and at times, we have been moved to tears by the sights we have seen and the places we have been. My other hobbies include reading (of course), and photography.
I look very forward to working with the amazing staff at CISGZ. The world class Alberta curriculum is the vehicle, but the drivers are the talented, caring, and wise teachers who prepare students to be the ingenious problem solvers in a future world where many problems will need solving. I feel very blessed to be part of such a dynamic place of learning where we all "Learn Today" to able to "Lead Tomorrow"!
