Welcome From Principal
Welcome to Britannia International School,
Dear Parents/ BIS community,
I would like to extend the warmest possible welcome to you all for the new academic year 2020-21.
As the newly appointed School Principal of BIS, I am very proud and excited for the coming years ahead. My passion for education has not quelled since I began my own journey in education 25 years ago. I continue to strive to always improve myself, my staff and the students governed under my care.
One of the important aspects in education for me is to involve our parents and community groups in all that we want to achieve for the future development of the school, our students and the community at large.
With this in mind; we as the Leadership Team at BIS want to explore new initiatives to involve our whole community in the fruitful development of our school. We want to strive for better than before, to engage all our parents and community to grow together as one.
Covid-19 has had a negative impact across the world in the past 6 months but out of negativity comes positivity and opportunities. I would like to take this opportunity to take BIS to another level, to increase and improve our whole capacity in teaching and learning to greater heights. To encourage our students to strive to become “better than before” a phrase you will hear more often in the future. To encourage our students to become well rounded citizens of the future, to have aspirations and dreams that they can fulfil.
Every child matter’s and every child gifted in their own right. It is our responsibility as educators to uncover those talents and bring them to fruition.
The aspirations and dreams of our students can only be fulfilled with a united collaboration between the teacher, the student and our parents working as one.
Together working in the same direction; much can be achieved.
I am looking forward to working with you all in the near future, striving for excellence.
I will be arriving in Guangzhou from Wuxi next week on August 1 and would be excieted to meet you in person at BIS soon, too!
